The Mother of All Conspiracy Theories

The One True Conspiracy Theory

I’ll admit it!  I’m a conspiracy theorist… of sorts. I believe a global conspiracy exists! But probably not the way you expect, so please temper your expectations and or condemnation. There is a diabolical plan afoot unlike the juicy speculation littering tabloids or paranoid-fuelled Facebook posts! This one is far more sinister and dangerous than the ones pursued by conspiracy ‘storm-chasers’. Its roots reach back in time and stem from the evilest source of spiritual power in existence!

The Truth

The Bible sets out a clear blueprint for a worldwide agenda consistent with what we term ‘conspiracy’.  It also names the mastermind at the center — He is Lucifer and Beelzebub.  Also known as Satan, he sits at the pinnacle of this cabal of darkness secretly plotting for control of the globe. In his service, lurking in the shadows, slightly beyond the horizon of visibility, is an army dedicated to Earth’s enslavement. It can be labelled nothing other than a conspiracy.

The agenda is centrally orchestrated, emerging from this singular entity, but administered by a host of subjects known as demonic powers. Evil minions as it were, themselves compelled into virtual slavery.

The plot is thick with malicious intent, worthy of a screenplay but beyond the pale of anything written thus far. The scope of this enterprise of misery is huge. Wielding enormous influence the key figures are puppet masters behind the evil works men often, but mistakenly ascribe to God.

Dry Runs

Far from new, it can be traced as far back as time itself. In fact, the sum total of all historical atrocities can be seen as a series of dry runs. Practice for the main event! 

As the phrase suggests ‘all the world’s a stage’. What we are facing is a series of rehearsals leading to a grand finale — which incidentally will not turn out as expected.  But that is another story entirely!  

What matters now is realizing how each historical example of oppression is just another attempt to manifest a twisted vision of annihilation. From Mao’s cultural revolution to Hitler’s Germany and onto present-day Rwanda, each was part of a learning curve taking shape over millennia.  Difficult to imagine, but this assembly of the wicked is carefully scripting the accumulated knowledge. To them, national tragedies are like instructional videos for a project in ‘how to craft mayhem’ — a veritable playbook for despotic minds.

But you’re probably thinking conspiracy theories do not work. Yes, there are significant barriers making global conspiracy improbable, most certainly humanly impossible. But the unique construct of this particular conspiracy overcomes a hurdle none other can. What hurdle is that? It is the task of creating collusion while maintaining abject and absolute secrecy. The key to any secret plan is the ‘secret’ part.

Conspiracy Challenges

The challenging part of a conspiracy is containing the plot. The question becomes, ‘How to maintain secrecy while influencing globally?’ Secrecy is a Herculean task, challenging no matter what size the group. A group as small as one hundred is complicated, but managing tens of thousands is unthinkable. 

Again, this is what makes many conspiracies unlikely, which is why most thinking people dismiss them. It does not mean there are none, it simply underscores the complexity. 

As an example, consider how unlikely the theory proposed by the Flat Earth Society. This is the one claiming government agencies, including NASA, are suppressing the truth about the shape of the earth. The numbers needed to collude are massive.

Accepting the theory requires believing that hundreds of thousands of people are willing to lie in order to maintain a falsehood. Huge cross-sections of people, not only in government but science, education, aviation and astronomy would need to be willing to lie… and for what benefit? The fact is it would quickly unravel due to the sheer number of people with immediate knowledge of the truth. 

Clearly, this is impossible! But what if there was a kind of conspiracy that did not need active or conscious cooperation? What if people seemingly of their own will cooperated with a plan they knew nothing about? Is that even possible?

A Supernatural World

This is where we leave the realm of traditional conspiracy and factor in the unquantifiable supernatural world. There are forces, invisible to the naked eye, subjecting mankind to an uninvited conformity. The prophet Isaiah talks of a veil of darkness being pulled over the minds of men on a scale that boggles the imagination. If only it were just a fanciful fairy tale!

Yet the Bible refers repeatedly to the mesmerizing deception holding the nations in captivity. It also speaks of an era in which it will be torn down.

“And He will destroy on this mountain the surface of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations.”

— Isaiah 25:7

The apostle Paul also framed for us a picture of this present age while describing his own former state.

“...in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

— Ephesians 2:2-3

Until we have been detached from the system, a power is at work bringing us into subjection. Something inherent to our very nature locks us into a trance-like submission. While convincing us we have autonomy, it invisibly influences our values and priorities in ways beyond comprehension. 

What Can We Do?

In reality, just as Jesus tried to tell His countrymen 2000 years ago, they were slaves without knowing it. Meaning, neither we nor they, had to be on the inside to be part of the ‘Mother of All Conspiracies’. We are born into it! Unless we have been born-again, we have no ability to detach. As Paul outlined, we all ‘walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air’.

Within this is an important opportunity worth emphasizing. It is this: Despite the existence of a conspiracy for destruction, heaven holds a promise of a new era. A plan much grandeur and infinitely more beautiful than this conspiracy of evil lies also on the horizon just out of view. So those who suspect a global conspiracy are not wrong! We are surrounded by two all-inclusive systems.

However, the sense of collaboration we might feel is not happening entirely on this plane. While there are many plots and schemes of men, none can match what is happening on the scale of these Global Spiritual Conspiracies. Even so, there is great news!

The Spirit of God is also at work to expose and unravel this sinister plan to destroy us. In fact, this is the central struggle we are currently part of as ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven. Furthermore, He is recruiting. We can all be part of the grand emancipation of the nations. We have only to choose.
